NY Law School & There.com Launch State of Play Academy, an Initiative Designed to Develop Education in Virtual Worlds
New York Law School and There.com parent company Makena Technologies today announced the formation of the State of Play Academy , the first voice-enabled virtual world learning environment and the first project specifically designed to explore strategies for using virtual worlds for distance education.
Exhibit Explores Rise of Pop Culture in 18th-Century London
A new exhibit of rare books at the Boston Public Library (BPL) highlights one of the earliest rises in pop culture in London with pamphlets, broadsides, and rare books telling stories of criminals, ghost, shipwrecks, and pirates. UMass Boston faculty and graduate students worked with BPL rare book curators to organize a first of its kind exhibit, “Crooks, Rogues, and Maids Less Than Virtuous.”
